Stonegate brings Missoula – Montana Bar & Grill to Nottingham

Stonegate Pubs is converting the Living Room bar in Nottingham into its third Missoula – Montana Bar & Grill this September after an investment of £310,000.

The Nottingham site follows the opening of Missoula - Montana Bar & Grill sites in York and Milton Keynes. The Living Room site was first acquired by Stonegate in 2013 and this is not the first of the venues to be transitioned into the Missoula concept.

Missoula Nottingham will follow the format of the other two sites, with an American-style menu and a focus on craft ales, whiskies and USDA steaks. The grill will be themed around the US state of Montana, with the décor reflecting the city, mountain ranges and cattle ranches found there.

The opening of the Nottingham site will see the creation of five new jobs, while the venue will be run under general manager James Aspell.

Aspell said: “We are delighted to be bringing Missoula – Montana Bar and Grill to Nottingham. We are the third site following York and Milton Keynes and believe that we will become a firm favourite with the citizens of Nottingham.”

All-day dining and drinks

Missoula – Montana Bar & Grill Nottingham will be open from 8am until late at night, serving breakfast, lunch and dinner options. Alongside its normal menu the venue will also offer a specials menu that offers dishes from seasonal produce.

Breakfast is an American affair with dishes such as waffle with fried eggs and crispy bacon and the Fresh Fruit Waffle with apple, strawberry, mandarin and blueberry. Also on offer is US-style scrambled eggs with a range of toppings.

The main menu includes meat choices like the USDA steaks, hanging skewers, Chicken Madeira and Pretzel-crumbed Sea Trout. There will also be a choice of soups, salads and appetisers available.

The drinks offering includes a list of 14 signature cocktails, seven ‘all American’ cocktails and 10 ‘fresh and fruity’ cocktails. The bar will also have a focus on milkshakes, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic, including the Salted Caramel Shake and the Cupcake Shake. World beers will also be available.

Missoula – Montana Bar & Grill will open with a VIP party on 18 September before opening to the public on the 19 September.
