Opening date announced for Hotel Football
The hotel, which is being opened by Neville and Giggs’ hospitality company GG Hospitality, is located opposite Manchester United’s Old Trafford Stadium. It will have 133 bedrooms and décor that reflects the football theme of the hotel. It is also being backed by a number of the players’ ex-teammates.
Hotel Football will also host Café Football Manchester, which will serve popular dishes from the first Café Football in London. The café’s menu has been put together by chef Michael Wignall and Café Football’s executive chef Brendan Fyldes, and includes signature dishes such as The Boss Burger and Café Football Sausage Roll.
The Old Trafford Supporters Club will also be located inside the hotel, showing the games and offering guests a fully-stocked bar, music, food and betting facilities. The hotel will also boast its own rooftop football pitch on the 11th floor, which offers views out across the city of Manchester. It will also have a retractable roof and can be hired for events for up to 200 people.
Managing director of GG Hospitality Stuart Procter said: “The announcement of the official opening date and the sneak peek inside what is one of the UK’s most unique hotel developments is the next major milestone in this project. I’m looking forward to taking our very first bookings.”
