Located next to Angel tube station, DoubleTree by Hilton London Islington opened today after undergoing refurbishment on its 229 bedrooms. This number will increase to 372 on 1 October, when the hotel plans to unveil an extra 143 rooms including 66 deluxe rooms and 43 executive rooms.
Features
The ground floor, designed by designsquared, features a contemporary lobby and lounge area.
The hotel also has a gin bar called Bar60, an all-day full-service restaurant called The Grill, over 3,200 square feet of meeting space as well as 24-hour complimentary business centre and fitness centre and free Wi-Fi.
Thomas Doyle, general manager of the hotel, said: “The hotel has undergone a transformation, prior to converting under the DoubleTree by Hilton brand, including the addition of an executive lounge and fitness suite, not to mention a new London gin bar ‘Bar60’ which offers signature cocktails to suit a wide range of tastes. Franchise
The hotel is part of the Hilton HHonors guest loyalty programme, allowing members to earn and redeem points with each stay.
The property also marks the brand’s 10,000th room in Europe, and operates under a franchise agreement with Jurys Inn.
