Located on Rupert Street, the 150-cover venue will serve classic pub dishes including fish and chips, sharing platters, burgers, steaks and hot dogs, while playing a variety of international sports live on its 20 plasma screens.
Sports Bar & Grill Managing Director, David Evans said “To operate in the heart of London’s vibrant West End has always been my vision for the Sports Bar & Grill and I am delighted we can now offer our local and international customers and sport fans alike with a top notch bar experience, whilst showcasing the best live sports available.”
Dishes are made from freshly-sourced produce and prepared onsite by resident chefs. Ranging from light snacks to main meals, the menu also includes pork, beef or vegetarian Beer Dogs, among which the London Dog with crispy bacon and sautéed onions and the Acapulco Dog with beef chilli, sour cream and jalapenos.
Beer Dogs are served in a lightly toasted sub with fries or Cajun fries and selection of sides. The drinks menu features an extensive wine, draught and bottle beer selection.
The two-floor venue also has capacity to host private functions, including corporate events and group bookings.
Sports broadcast at the bar will include NFL, NBA, La Liga, Bundesliga, Serie A, Eredivise and US College Football. A timetable of sporting events will be available from the venue’s website, with daily alerts via Twitter and Facebook.
Sports Bar & Grill’s four other sites are located inside or near some of London’s major train terminals, including Waterloo, Victoria, Marylebone and Farringdon, and the brand aims to offer a quality dining experience in a relaxed and comfortable environment.
Upon opening its previous venue at Waterloo station in November 2011, the company announced its intention to have six venues by the end of 2013.
