Two new restaurants for John Lewis flagship store

The two restaurants sit on the third floor of the department store and will share the same kitchen to operate. The Ham Holy Burger in John Lewis is the restaurant’s first outlet in the UK, it previously operated sites in Milan and Rome. The John Lewis venue has 82 covers.

Rossopomodoro has six restaurants in London as well as one in Birmingham, though it originally opened in Naples in 1999. The restaurant sources its produce from around the Naples area and prepares dishes using Italian wood burning ovens. It also only employs pizza chefs from pizzaioli families in a bid to keep its pizzas authentic. The new site has 114 covers.

The contractor Conamar managed the restaurants’ joint team during the fit out project, which took five weeks.

Contracts director at Conamar John O’Donnell said: “Having worked with John Lewis for the last 20 years and undertaken many improvements to its Oxford Street flagship store ourselves, we were pleased to be appointed to help Ham Holy Burger and Rossopomodoro open their newest restaurants here. The programme stayed on track for its scheduled opening date throughout and the finished restaurants are a great addition to the store.”
