The Argentinean steakhouse concept, which will open in Bristol, Henley and Wimbledon before the end of the year, has secured a 5,000sq ft unit in the city’s Castle Street in the same scheme as the upcoming Tune Hotel launch.
The group is also currently exploring opportunities in Cheshire and Manchester, as it looks to grow to 17 sites over the next 18 months.
The company, which has also secured a unit for the start of next year in Reading, will open its sixth site next week in Bristol.
It is adopting an evolved design with a more “industrial” look for its latest opening in the Triangle area of the city.
CAU will open in Wimbledon Village in August and in Henley on Thames in October,
It is thought that the group is also in talks on a site in Bath and is looking at locations in Manchester.
Graham Hall, operations director, told M&C Report earlier this year that the company was already in talks on seven sites for its 2015 pipeline, including two sites in the North West.
Bristol venue
The Bristol restaurant, set to open in August, will seat 150 diners and is the group's first all-day venue. A new drinks menu has also been designed especially for the site, including a 'knock-out' Bloody Mary.
CAU is Gaucho's more casual sister restaurant, and currently has seven venues across the UK.
