Synergy Hotels to open Hilton London Bankside
Located next to the NEO Bankside development, with views over Tate Modern towards St Paul’s Cathedral, the 292-bedroom Hilton London Bankside will operate under the Hilton Hotels & Resorts brand.
The hotel features 21 suites – including a 100 sq m presidential suite – as well as an executive lounge, a LivingWell fitness centre with an indoor swimming pool, a 700-guest ballroom and eight meeting rooms with amenities including video conferencing and Wi-Fi.
An all-day dining restaurant, a bar and a coffee shop will complement the facilities.
Shiraz Boghani, chairman of Synergy Hotels, said: “The South Bank rejuvenation began back in 2000 with the transformation of the riverside’s old power station into one of the world’s most iconic modern galleries. There are almost 17m visitors to London every year and this vibrant area is now a destination in its own right. I am thrilled that in 12 months’ time Hilton London Bankside will open to guests.”
The property was designed by Dexter Moren Associates architects and interior designers in association with Twenty2Degrees, and comprises tall and low-rise buildings, with layers of glass, bronzed metal and brick, and a four-level glass atrium at the hotel entrance.
