World’s largest Costa opens in Norton Canes

The new Costa in Norton Canes expects to serve over a million customers every year

Motorway service operator Roadchef has opened the world’s largest Costa Coffee in Norton Canes capable of well over £100k of sales per week.

The new Costa expects to serve over a million customers every year and to have 10.2 tonnes of coffee delivered. It will also employ 30 baristas and have six different coffee machines and service positions.

Site director at the Norton Canes service Peter Watson said: “In our busiest week over 106,000 people walk through the doors here at Norton Canes and this store will allow us to serve them great coffee faster than ever before."

Roadchef's chief executive Simon Turl said: “We are extremely proud to operate the World’s Largest Costa at Norton Canes service area and cannot wait to see what the unit is capable of during our peak trading period in the summer.”

A Costa representative said: “As the nation’s favourite coffee shop chain it has been great to work with Roadchef to create a unit of this scale, allowing us to serve our on-the-go coffee lovers in this brand new and unique environment on the UK’s first Motorway Toll Road”

Costa is the fastest growing coffee shop business in the UK and currently has over 1600 sites.
