Werewolf performance nightclub launches in London
Werewolf is located at the site of the former well-known jazz club Pigalle, which has been completely redesigned into an ‘eclectic’ environment, though Werewolf intends to keep some of the ‘spirit’ of the old venue.
The new club can fit 400 people inside and is open until 4am on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. The venue is fully licensed seven days a week however and will be marketed for private events hire when it is closed.
Art deco and 80s atmosphere
The team behind Werewolf have placed a great emphasis on the design behind the club, changing the venue completely from the jazz club style it had previously. The new design has mixed static art with performance art and features art deco architecture.
The décor in the club has hints of cult 80s films such as ‘Escape from New York’, ‘Mad Max’, and ‘The Warriors’ and also pays homage to tattoo and neon art. The design also incorporates the lighting, sound and cinematograpy systems.
The music played at the venue is diverse and not bound to one genre. The site has two well-equipped DJ booths and will invite people in to play as well as having resident DJs. The club also features an intelligent LED lighting system and light mapping as well as 3D projection screens to enhance the visual experience for its visitors.
Complete nightclub experience
Werewolf nightclub aims to offer its customers a complete night out experience and not just be viewed as a venue for drinks, instead placing a great deal of importance on the performance part of its offering. The details of what is involved in the performance are being kept under wraps and BigHospitality was advised that customers need to experience it for themselves, but neither the performance or the art installation have been seen in the UK’s nightlife industry before.
Werewolf ranges over two floors and contains two fully-equipped cocktail bars, internet access, a full catering kitchen and a valet service.
The club also has a number of provisions aimed at those looking to hire it out for events, including the possibility of a bespoke canapé menu and a bar team that will create specific drink menus as requested.
Werewolf is located at 215-217 Piccadilly and opens on 23 April.
