Development Chef Awards 2014 shortlist announced

The shortlist for the inaugural Development Chef Awards 2014, which recognises and rewards the best menus, dishes and multi-site chefs across the restaurant and pub sector, has been announced.

The awards, organised by our sister title Restaurant magazine, celebrate those heading up the food offering across a number of restaurants or pubs. The aim is to recognise and reward this important but often unsung part of the cheffing world.

Winners will be announced following the Development Chef Summit, sponsored by Farm Frites, which will be held on 19 March at Westminster Kingsway College.

“Our new awards will throw the spotlight on a hugely important but often unsung part of the industry,” said William Drew, group editor of Restaurant magazine and The World’s 50 Best Restaurants.

“The standard of cooking in the multiple restaurant and pub space has improved immeasurably in recent years and we’re excited to be able to highlight and reward the very best operators."
