Madhu’s brings new Indian concept to Sheraton Skyline Hotel

Renowned Indian restaurant Madhu’s is doubling up for the first time in over 30 years with a second venue opening in the Sheraton Skyline Hotel at London’s Heathrow Airport.

The 130-cover restaurant, which officially opens tomorrow (18 January), will serve up Mahdu’s signature Punjabi cuisine with a Kenyan twist - a slightly different offering to its original site in Southall, which has been open for the past 33 years.

The menu at Madhu’s Heathrow has been designed by the business’s two Indian head chefs, Haresh Narang and Gurmeet Singh Daul, and includes ‘secret recipes’ handed down over four generations of the Kenyan Anand family - owners of the Madhu’s brand.

An extra focus will be placed on dishes prepared using the restaurant’s live Robata grill which will give meat, vegetables and spices a distinctive char-grill taste.

A selection of classic appetisers; salads; meat, fish and vegetarian main courses; biryani dishes and traditional Indian desserts will be on offer, with dishes including Bharwan calamari (baby calamari with aromatic spiced salmon rillettes; and ‘Madhu’s Machi’ (whole seabass in onion and carom seed marinade).

Madhu’s Heathrow will be open daily for dinner. It’s launch follows a complete re-design of the restaurant space at the Sheraton Skyline with the introduction of new furnishings in Madhu’s traditional colours of black, red and gold. The creation of two ‘Chivas’ private dining rooms which can seat up to 10 or 12 people and the installation of the Robata grill at the heart of the dining area complete the new restaurant space.

Mahdu’s already has experience working with hotels having catered for Indian weddings and events at an array of five-star properties in London. The business has also catered for special Indian events hosted by the Royal Family at Clarence House and Windsor Castle.

Madhu’s Heathrow will open at Sheraton Skyline Hotel London Heathrow on 18 January. Madhu’s Southall continues to trade as normal.
