According to BigHospitality's sister publication M&C Report, the group, which is also in talks on sites in key UK cities such as Manchester, Leeds and Liverpool, has secured the Tony Roma’s site in Kingston’s Rotunda scheme and the former Curry’s site in Friary Bridge, Guildford for openings near the end of February/start of March.
The group, which currently operates three sites in the UK, is currently looking for general managers to oversee planned openings in the three northern cities and is also eyeing prospective launches in Solihull and Birmingham for 2014.
The company, which hopes to have up to 30 sites open by the end of this year, is believed to be close to completing a deal for an opening at the redeveloped foodcourt in Lakeside, Essex. It is thought to have offers on eight to 10 locations at the moment.
The group’s new head of property Neville Maling told M&C Report at the start of this month that 50 per cent of new openings would be based inside the M25 and the South East with the remaining 50 per cent in the regions, with plans to open in clusters around places such as Liverpool, Manchester and Sheffield.
