The company, which is part of the Domivs Group, will start building a 112-bedroom three star and a 139-bedroom four star hotel next year on the site in Aberdeen, which hotelier Robert Cook recently dubbed a 'hotel hotspot' due to its strong links with the oil and gas market.
"The Aberdeen market has been in our sights since our company’s inception” said Preet Ahluwalia, director of Dominvs Hospitality. “The location, size and potential of this site could not be more ideal, we as a company cannot wait to begin work on this project.
“Aberdeen is a leading business hub and one of eight 'super cities' spearheading the UK's economy. Our 112 bedroom 3-star and 139 bedroom 4-star hotel will be the fresh new answer the thriving Aberdeen market is calling out for”.
It is not yet known which company will operate the hotel when it launches in early 2016, but whoever does will have access to passengers travelling into the airport from 48 national and international destinations with five million people expected to travel through the transport hub by 2040.
The £30m acquisition and development, the sixth for Dominvs Hospitality since its inception in 2012, forms part of the company's planned expansion of strategically located branded hotels in key UK cities.
Dominvs' portfolio includes the Aston Hotels in Dumfries, Darlington and Sheffield and the Dominvs Hotel in Mancheter, a new-build hotel which is planned to open for business in 2015.
