Revere reveals two more pubs with rooms

Revere Pub Company, the premium pub format created by Marston's, is continuing with its plans to open more pubs with rooms having acquired two more sites, in Kent and Sheffield.

The operator, which launched last year, will open The White Lion in Tenterden and The Florentine in Fulwood in November.

Each site is currently undergoing an extensive refurbishment and will re-open as eating, drinking and sleeping destinations under one roof.

Managing director Colin Sadler, who also heads up the management team of two of Marston’s other brands, Pitcher & Piano and Bluu bars, hopes that these new pubs will follow on from the success of the group’s other recent ventures which include The Angel and Blue Pig in Lymington and The White Hart in Ford.

“We have put considerable investment into launching both our new sites and opening them within weeks of each other demonstrates our commitment to our hotel estate and premium offering - an important step in our growing portfolio,” he said. 

“We are confident that our pubs with rooms will offer fantastic quality and value to both visitors and locals alike.”

Boutique hotel

The newly acquired pubs will provide ‘all the comforts and amenities you would expect from a boutique hotel’ with contemporary décor, bespoke furniture and textured fabrics.  In-room facilities such as luxury bed linen, flat screen TVs, spacious bathrooms, complimentary Wi-Fi and homemade luxury welcome baskets come as standard. 

The White Lionis a 3,768sq.ft, 16th century coaching inn with 14 bedrooms, which include of five super-king, five king-size and three deluxe family rooms. The pub also has a 128-cover dining room and a 16-cover private dining area. 

Meanwhile The Florentine, formerly named the Fulwood Inn, is a 2,100sq.ft building two miles from the centre of Sheffield, with 11 bedrooms (four super king, five king, one double and one family room).  The large dining room at The Florentine will have 143 covers. 

Premium food

Each pub will offer a regularly changing, freshly cooked menu, with signature dishes including 28-day aged prime cuts of beef from John Penny’s farm in Yorkshire cooked with a Josper Charcoal flavour and a range of homemade signature pizzas, stretched and cooked fresh to order from the Italian wood-fired oven.

Drinks will include an extensive wine list with many offered by the glass, a full cocktail menu and a selection of rotating cask ales and craft beers. Each pub will have its own brew - The White Lion’s ‘Lionheart Ale’ and The Florentine’s ‘Florentine Gold Ale’ - available on tap.

The White Lion in Tenterden and The Florentine in Fulwood will be the seventh and eighth sites respectively from Revere Pub Company.
