Burts Chips expands Guinness crisps range with Rich Beef Chilli
Product details:
Following the launch of Guiness Burts Chips in October 2012, Guiness and Burts have worked closely on the development of this new flavour. The smooth taste of Guiness has been blended with fresh jalapeño chillies and beef flavours to enhance the layers of barley and hops, creating the taste of a 'hearty meal' in a packet.
USP:
The new Burts Chips products are flavoured using natural ingredients that are sourced locally, in line the brand’s commitment to provenance and quality. The chilles that are used to add heat are sourced from the Devon Chilli Farm, for example.
These values are communicated on-pack with the name of the field where the potatoes came from.
Cost:
Guinness Beef Chilli Burts Chips will be priced from £0.75 for 40g packet and £1.99 for 150g packet.
Availability:
Guinness Rich Beef Chilli is available to pubs, bars and supermarkets and independent retailers across the UK now.
Why you should buy them:
Leane Bramhall, marketing director at Burts Chips, said: “Our relationship with Guinness is going from strength to strength – Guinness Burts Chips became one of the most notabale snack launches of 2012 and in the last couple of months we’ve secured further listings with Morrison’s, Boots and BP garages nationwide”
“With Guinness Rich Beef Chilli we’re hoping to build upon this success and have designed the new flavour, with its additions of chillies and beef flavours, to have even wider consumer appeal thereby opening the range to incremental purchase. The snack sector is extremely competitive and promotion led, but with Guinness we are providing a unique offering that consumers can’t find elsewhere.”
