Mr Trotter's adds 'Proper Potato Crisps' to range
Product details:
Mr Trotter's Proper Potato Crisps are the latest product to be added to the Mr Trotter's range following the launch of the original Great British Pork Crackling in 2011 by food writers Matthew Fort and Tom Parker-Bowles, farmer Rupert Ponsonby and crackling specialist Graham Jebb. The crisps use potatoes from Wade Lane Farm in Staffordshire and are sliced with their skins on on-site before being cooked in cold-pressed rapeseed oil. They are the latest addition to the premium range, which includes Great British Pork Crackling in Original and Jalapeno Chilli flavours and Mr Trotter's Great British Chestnut Ale.
USP:
Mr Trotter's co-founders Tom Parker Bowles and Matthew Fort believe their crisp will stand out from others due to its unique flavour and crispness. "There's so much flavour in the potato's skin we decided to fry it with the skin still on. It gives Mr Trotter's Proper Potato Crisp proper potato power,' said Parker Bowles.
Price:
The crisps have an RRP of between 99p and £1.09, but trade price will depend on distributor.
Availability:
From distributors Foster Foods or Hider Food Imports or direct from Mr Trotter's own website.
Why you should buy it:
"We know it's a crowded market, so it's got to be a cracking crisp to stand out. That's what Mr Trotter stands for, and that's what we've got - a gloriously crisp crisp, a potently crunchy crisp, a seductively amber-gold crisp, a crisp packed with potato flavour, with just a touch of Mr Trotter's own Original Seasoning for very good measure," said Fort.
