Bragard makes premium jacket for female chefs
Product details:
The Grand Chef Lady is a premium chef's jacket designed for women and launched to reflect the growing number of high-profile female chefs leading kitchens. Part of Bragard's Grand Chef range, created in 1976 with the help of Paul Bocuse, the brushed cotton, shaped jackets feature handmade fabric buttons and air vents to keep wearers cool and comfortable while looking smart in hot kitchens.
USP:
Chefs jackets already exist for women, of course, but this style is the first for the premium end of the market and has been created for the growing number of female chefs with Michelin stars, says Bragard. This year, eight female chefs in the UK received stars, up from only two a decade ago.

Why you should buy it:
Charlie Pogson, marketing director, Kwintet UK & International, said: “The restaurant kitchen is a high-pressure environment and top chefs, male and female, are expected not only to produce great tasting food, but make the process look effortless as well.
"The clothes they wear in the kitchen need to look professional and on-trend to give them the confidence to represent their restaurant when they are called on to meet their guests. With more female chefs enjoying a higher profile than ever before, it is important they have the highest quality uniforms to reflect the work they put into their cuisine.”
