The Flying Chariot will launch in The Queen's Terminal - the new Terminal 2 - which officially opens in June 2014.
Named after a comment in a 1638 book titled 'Discovery of a New World in the Moon', The Flying Chariot will have a number of aircraft engineering-inspired features including a tower for customers to view the runway using a set of telescopes.
The pub will also boast an open kitchen, a deli area, a coffee lounge, a table service area and a display of kegs advertising the range of real ale which will be available.
"We are looking forward to opening The Flying Chariot at Heathrow‘s Terminal 2," said Wetherspoon chief executive John Hutson.
The new terminal will house 67 outlets including shops, bars and restaurants and competition for the space has been fierce - each unit attracted an average of five proposals, surpassing the tender process for Terminal 5.
"Our pubs have enjoyed great success across the airport and we are delighted to have been chosen to open a Wetherspoon pub within this major development," Hutson added. The Flying Chariot will have a number of original design features which will enable it to stand out from the crowd. We believe that the pub will be a major asset to the UK’s hub airport," he said.
