Hospitable Heatwave: UK hospitality businesses boosted by hot weather

Several hospitality businesses from across the UK have reported increased bookings and sales as a result of the recent spell of hot weather but with soaring temperatures set to continue restaurants, hotels and pubs have also been warned to make sure their staff and customers are protected.
Hotels across the UK suffered a drop in RevPAR in the first month of the year with the poor weather and the timing of the New Year Bank Holiday both blamed.
While a number of operators bemoan bad weather and the UK hospitality industry begins to assess the impact of yet another wet British Bank Holiday weekend, The Orchid Group has revealed the recent rain is actually helping to boost sales.
