Meyer – legendary New York restaurateur, founder of Shake Shack and author of seminal text Setting The Table - will be speaking at the networking event on Wednesday, 3 July alongside Shake Shack chief executive Randy Garutti.
The line-up of speakers at the event, which takes place at the brand new restaurant on the 33rd floor of London's latest landmark building, also includes Polpo founder and soon-to-be TV star Russell Norman, bar and restaurant consultant Robbie Bargh of Gorgeous Group and Alex Reilley, the founder of Loungers.
William Drew, editor of Restaurant magazine, said the line-up was one of the best in the history of the R200 club for multi-site operators: “Russell Norman is arguably one of the UK’s most influential restaurateurs of recent years, while Danny Meyer is indisputably regarded as one of the world’s greatest hospitality practitioners," he said.
"With Russell’s Polpo group expanding into the pub sector this year with Ape & Bird, and Danny’s Shake Shack making its London debut this summer, it’s the perfect time to hear their views, along with those of other key restaurant-sector leaders. We believe this R200 event will deliver world-class content in a world-beating setting."
The morning programme of speakers, business commentary, interviews and open Q&A sessions will be followed by lunch at Hutong, which specialises in northern Chinese cuisine, and afternoon drinks and relaxed networking at venues in nearby Bermondsey Street.
Members of the R200 club who would like to join Restaurant magazine for this exclusive event are invited to reserve their place by contacting Rachael Cannon on rachael.cannon@wrbm.com or by calling 01293 610396.
