Tim Bacon's restaurant and bar group Living Ventures has confirmed it will open Artisan, a casual dining restaurant with two wood-fired ovens, in Manchester's Spinningfields development next month.

Described as the company's 'most challenging and exciting restaurant to date', Artisan will launch in a 12,000sq.ft, semi-industrial space on the first floor of Avenue North towards the end of June.

Artisan will feature a mid-price menu focused on flamed meat and fish as well as pizzas. All the dishes will be prepared fresh and will be finished in the two ovens in full display of the diners. A collection of 'innovative' cocktails will be served from a 20ft long bar in the venue which will feature a design inspired by an artist's loft studio.

Tim Bacon, Living Venture’s managing director, said the all-day venue would embrace Manchester's creative scene - DJs and photo booths will be part of Artisan's entertainment offer. “It’s the people, the art and the food, you should always leave with a story," he said.
