Costa re-brands Ice Cold range for Proud to Serve customers

Costa Coffee has announced the launch of Cost Ice – a strategic re-brand of its Ice Cold Costa range – in a bid to drive summer sales for its ‘Proud to Serve’ (PTS) business customers.

The re-launch also sees the introduction of a new PTS product – the Coffee Cooler, which is set to be rolled out in existing PTS businesses across the UK from this Friday (17 May).

Product details:

PTS is a wholesale proposition from the Whitbread-owned coffee chain which provides coffee, equipment and merchandising support to hotels and leisure businesses with five or more outlets. It allows these businesses to serve authentic Costa drinks and snacks in their own environment.

With this latest addition of the Coffee Cooler, PTS customers will now be able to offer consumers three out of the four best-selling Costa Ice beverages, as well as the fruit coolers (blended with ice) and Costa's famous Mocha Italia coffee blend.

USP:

PTS customers taking up the newly branded range will have a dedicated account manager to help drive a business’s coffee sales and the Costa team will support it with a full range of merchandising, point of sale materials and promotional activity.

Costa Ice training kits, which include category flyers with detailed consumer insights, will also be available, as well as a DVD training aid to demonstrate how to use the supplied blender and create recipes, and sampling kits.

A comprehensive list of ice suppliers is also available, for customers in need of storage support. On-site point of sale will then boost customer awareness and drive footfall. Customers will receive posters, counter cards, table talkers and price stickers.

Availability:

Costa's Proud to Serve range is available now to all hotels and leisure businesses across the UK.

Why you should have it:

Costa’s senior beverage manager Simon Parton said: “Research amongst consumers identified a lack of understanding that the previously branded Ice Cold Costa products belonged to the Costa brand – with many also confused by the different options available.

“The new branding provides a holistic identity across the range – providing a clear proposition for consumers. With the Coffee Cooler already performing well in retail – we’re anticipating great results for PTS from this range over what we hope to be a long hot summer.”
