International holiday park owner Center Parcs has revealed the range of restaurants and cafés that will be included within the new Woburn Forest village when it opens in spring 2014.

Woburn Forest in Bedfordshire will be Center Parcs’ fifth UK village, comprising 625 forest lodges, a 75-bedroom hotel and spa, leisure buildings, restaurants and retail outlets.

“We want to make it easy for families to sit down together and enjoy each other’s company whilst on holiday, which is why we design each of our villages to provide great spaces for this,” said Martin Dalby, chief executive of Center Parcs UK.

“Woburn Forest is no different; we’ve taken what we have learnt over the last 25 years, together with what our guests have told us, to design a modern dining environment in the heart of the forest for all the family.”

Shearing House

Exclusive to the development will be The Shearing House restaurant, inspired by the area’s sheap-shearing heritage. The restaurant’s menu will feature ‘grazing’ dishes designed to be shared, along with a children’s menu.

The restaurant includes sofas, communal kitchen tables, and an outdoor terrace which offers panoramic views of the forest.

“We have also introduced a brand new restaurant which we are very excited about,” added Dalby. “Creating a space for families to eat together is always key, as well as providing a variety of meal options so that every member of the family can choose something they can enjoy.

“From sharing menus to communal dining areas we think this restaurant will be perfect for guests of all ages and will complement our existing restaurant concepts.”

Family-friendly restaurants from Center Parcs’ four other villages will also feature at Woburn Forest, including The Pancake House, Huck’s American Diner and The Canopy Café and Bar.

Other F&B offerings will include:

  • Strada
  • Café Rouge
  • Starbucks
  • Sports Café
  • Dexter’s Kitchen

The Center Parcs project for Woburn Forest, which is set in a 365 acre forest and includes a 17,000 sq.m lake, was at first expected to cost approximately £160 million, but this has since risen to over £230m.
