Country Range has created a new range of frozen gateaux which are designed to appeal to diners during the summer months. The flavours are Caramel Toffee Crunch; Tiramisu, Rhubarb & Raspberry Frangipane and White Chocolate & Forest Fruits Charlotte. Each cake comes frozen and delivers up to 14 portions when defrosted.

The value of frozen desserts has rise by 14 per cent in the last five years and according to Martin Ward, brand manager for Country Range, sweet products have benefitted from the recessionary trend towards comfort eating.
"Specifically, frozen cakes experienced a 9 per cent increase in usage to reach 34 per cent between 2007 and 2011, and our summery new Country Range line-up of frozen gateaux has been launched to help caterers tap into this trend.
