Revere gives details of next two pubs with rooms
The White Hart in Chippenham will re-open its doors at the end of this month with 11 new bedrooms and a new-look dining room which will aim to mimic the success of its first, The Angel & Blue Pig, which opened in Hampshire last month.
Revere managing director Colin Sadler, said The Angel & Blue Pig had been well-received so far and so he felt confident the next converts would be equally as successful.
“The feedback from customers staying at The Angel has been outstanding. We've been overwhelmed by the good reports," he said. "The considerable investment we’ve put into The White Hart demonstrates our commitment to our hotel estate and premium offering. We are confident that The White Hart will also deliver the wow factor, and will appeal to both locals and visitors.”
Independent spirit
The next pub, The Hedgehog Inn at Copthorne in West Sussex, will be converted into a pub with 10 bedrooms before re-opening in the summer as The Curious Pig in the Parlour.
"That will be it for us until September with regards to converting more," said Sadler. "We'll let the dust settle on those. Our intention is to maintain that independent spirit for each pub, so if you rattle out a roll-out programme quickly you don't retain that."
Four pubs so far have joined the Revere family - The Libertine in Bournemouth; Ye Olde Saracen's Head in Coventry; The Lost & Found in Birmingham and The Angel & Blue Pig. The latter is the only one to have bedrooms.
"Not all of our pubs have bedrooms, it depends on their location," said Sadler. "Our aim is to have the best consumer offer possible for each one - whether it's great cocktails at The Lost & Found or top quality food and comfortable rooms at The Angel & Blue Pig. Good food is essential to all our pubs, however. Each pub has a Josper grill and we ensure we serve the best quality ingredients we can find."
The Revere pubs that do offer bedrooms will see them typically priced at £80 per room per night. Designed by BGW Concorde, rooms offer luxury bed linen, flat screen TVs, walk-in showers, bathrobes and complimentary Wi-Fi.
"We saw a gap in the market generally for good quality pubs with rooms. Our offer is designed around what the Revere team looks for when they are away - good beds, great showers - as these are the things most people look for when they go away. We recognise that but at the same time are trying to be better than average," added Sadler.
