Taylors of Harrogate develops Lifestyle range Pour & Serve Filter Coffee Pouches for foodservice

Coffee brand Taylors of Harrogate has developed a range of coffee pouches for foodservice that contain just the right amount of ground coffee to produce a 1.5 litre jug of filter coffee.

Product details:

Taylors of Harrogate's new range of Pour & Serve Filter Coffee Portion Pouches for foodservice is based on its Lifestyle retail range which includes its popular blends Rich Italian (a full-bodied roast); Lazy Sunday (smooth and aromatic) and Café Imperial (a classic blend of South American and Kenyan coffee beans). Each pouch contains 65g of coffee, thought to be the optimum amount of coffee needed to produce a 1.5 litre jug of filter coffee or an eight cup cafetiere, which is vacuum packed within two hours of being roasted and ground.

USP:

The blends have been tried and tested in retail, so are known to be popular with coffee drinkers(Taylor's has a 17 per cent share of the coffee market), but the main benefit is that the pouches have been carefully produced to contain the optimum amount of coffee to produce the perfect filter coffee or cafetiere making it easier for staff to produce coffee of a consistent quality.

Why you should buy it:

John Sutcliffe, out of home and convenience controller for Taylors of Harrogate, said stocking the Lifestyle range portion pouches made 'strong commercial sense for hotels, restaurants, pubs and cafés looking to enhance their hot drinks menu in the year ahead'.

“Pour & serve filter coffee is an easy and inexpensive way to offer customers a wide choice of good quality coffee without the expense of a bean-to-cup machine," he said. "Filter and cafetière coffees continue to take the lion’s share when it comes to popular coffee styles making it an important offering for operators to get right."
