Mövenpick's Lemon & Lime Sorbet can be used as a stand-alone option, as a component of fruit-based desserts, or as a base for drinks
Luxury Swiss ice-cream brand Mövenpick has added a ‘zesty’ Lemon & Lime Sorbet to its selection of more than 30 gourmet flavours in time for spring menus.

Product details:

Fresh lime zest and lemon juice give the Sorbet its sharp, fruity taste, making it a stand-alone option or as a component of fruit-based desserts.

Its high fruit content also offers operators an opportunity to revive drinks menus by using Lemon & Lime Sorbet as the base for fresh citrus fruit juices, smoothies, cocktails and mocktails.

USP:

Like all Mövenpick products, Lemon & Lime Sorbet is free from artificial additives, flavourings and colours and is suitable for vegetarians.

Availability:

The product is available now in 2.4 litre tubs in wholesalers nationwide.

Cost:

At the discretion of the wholesaler.

Why you should buy it:

Julia Jones, head of customer marketing at Mövenpick Ice Cream, said: “As the warmer months approach, fruity ingredients such as lemon and lime really come into their own as diners look for light, fresh alternatives to more substantial Winter desserts, which is why incorporating zesty, juicy sorbets is a foolproof - not to mention cost-effective - way of updating your dessert selection in line with the season.

“Lemon & Lime Sorbet is the perfect complement to caramelized pineapple or as part of a trio of sorbets or healthy fruit salad as a light, healthier option.

“And don’t just confine sorbets to the after-dinner menu. Operators can drive profits by including sorbets and ice-creams in drinks menus as a fresh twist to juice-based cocktails or an indulgent addition to traditional smoothies – both of which can be positioned as a dessert and a drink option.”
