Hobart’s revamped FX/GX warewashers offer big savings for operators
New features:
New features include an ‘intelligent’, integrated soil sensor that can adjust the rinse consumption depending on soil levels. The system ensures better results with significantly less consumption of chemicals and water – two litres per cycle.
Operators can also save further time and energy and improve kitchen efficiency with the new optional ‘2 in 1’ racking system, which doubles the machine’s capacity allowing for larger loads when most needed, while all of the machine’s functionality can now be controlled at the touch of a button.
The new intelligent Visiotronic display lights up automatically when the user’s hand approaches the panel and it can be fully customised for ease-of-use to include messages with clear text and/or symbols.
The new FX machines also feature Clip-in Wash & Rinse Arms, designed for simpler removal without the use of tools. A new automatic cycle featuring a longer wash, increased temperature, and rinse volume has also been introduced to help remove starch from dishes and restore the finish on glassware. A brand new USB-interface also gives immediate operational data (cycles, water consumption and failures) to a USB stick.
USP:
One machine can reduce the CO2 emissions of an operation by over 1000kg in a year, while switching to Hobart’s FX to wash 50 cycles per day, 365 days a year could save 1700 kWh of energy, 20,000 litres of water and 65 litres of chemicals.

Why you should buy it:
Tim Bender, UK sales director of Warewashing at Hobart UK, said: “The original FX and GX series were developed for high capacity operations with a focus on ease of use, consistency and keeping costs low.
“The brand new series retains these core elements and successfully builds on them, resulting in the most advanced, intelligent, energy efficient dishwashers ever created. We know that, alongside results, energy costs are a key consideration for operators which is why in terms of R&D we have put sustainability at the top of our agenda.
“The enhanced performance reflects the unique needs of the modern kitchen and offers tangible, real-world savings for every type of operation.”
