Product details:
The interactive version of Ophelia, which was launched in January, allows hoteliers to broadcast a number of extra channels to their guests' Freeview-enabled TV sets showing a range of information.
Dining menus, flight timetables and guest directories can all be displayed on the information channel system which can also be used as an advertising space for hotels to sell or an information board promoting special offers.
Operators totally control the channels and can add whichever text, pictures and music they want.
USP:
The product's developer says Ophelia is unique in giving the hotelier total control over the look and feel of the content on the extra TV channels as opposed to having to wait for a third party to update the information or change the layout, theme and colour scheme of the channel.
Cost:
The cost for installing Ophelia, over four or eight channels, ranges from £2k to approximately £7.5k depending on the features chosen by the hotelier.
