In-room entertainment systems supplier Quadriga has signed a distribution agreement with LobbyFriend – a private temporary social network for hotels, enabling them to communicate with guests during their stay.

Product details:

When a guest downloads the LobbyFriend app to their personal device, they are able to engage and privately network with other guests and the hotel, to discover where to go and what to do in the area, as well as benefit from exclusive deals and special offers.

Hotels will be able to stay directly connected to their guests during their stay, via their personal mobile devices as well as via screens in public areas such as the lobby or bar, communicating a live social stream to engage and attract guests.

Hotels will also be able to promote the platform via the in-room TV and will benefit from the ability to monetise the solution by advertising their own services as well as those of third party vendors.

USP:

LobbyFriend claims to be the first ever social network platform dedicated to the real-time needs of guests in their immediate location and vicinity.

Guests benefit from connecting online with other guests, either within the one hotel or across multiple hotels within the vicinity, to access a relevant social stream of information about what‟s happening within their hotel or city location.

Availability:

There are live proto-type LobbyFriend installations in the US already and Quadriga are working on launching a new version of the product early in 2013 with full commercial availability in the UK.

For consumers, the LobbyFriend application is available for download in the Apple App Store, and for Android on Google Play, Guests can also connect to the platform live on the web or via any mobile browser.
