Hotel chains are enhancing their food operations based on customer feedback as Jurys Inn launches a new restaurant menu across its entire estate and Park Plaza is opening a new restaurant at County Hall and introducing a revamped dessert menu.

Launching this month, the new menu at Jurys Inn has been created using customer insight data and sees the introduction of a new grill section and an extra focus on seasonal demands.

“We always listen to feedback from our customers when creating our new menus and know that chargrilled steak-based dining is enjoying a resurgence which is reflected in our latest menu,” said Suzanne Cannon, group marketing manager for Jurys Inn.

“We are always striving to improve our services, whether it is by introducing Costa Coffee bars at many of our hotels, or refurbishing our bar and restaurants to reflect current trends. The launch of the new menu shows how we are constantly refreshing our food and beverage offering to meet customer demand.”

The new offering will including a selection of three steaks each aged for a minimum of 21 days and coming with a choice of two side orders. The menu’s starter selection has also been expanded to include a number of ‘winter favourites’.

The restaurant's reinvention is also based on customer feedback as Simon Mahon, County Hall’s general manager explains ‘after extensive consultation with our guests, including our junior clientele, we decided to re-vamp our restaurant’.

The menu at the new Park Plaza County Hall L'Italiano restaurant has been created by Daniele Pampagnin, formar executive chef at Cecconi’s and Soho House. It will feature a wood-burning oven, serving a range of classic staple Italian dishes alongside a list of fine Italian wines.

Park Plaza’s Riverbank hotel is also tweaking its food offering with the introduction of three new desserts at its in-house restaurant, Chino Latino. The Yuzu Cream Sugar Bulb, Salted Banana Toffee Dome, Chino Chocolate Fondant, will adjoin the restaurant’s menu of sushi and sashimi.
