Product details:
Harry Sparrow is a 4.6% abv cyder with a clear golden colour. Named after Harry Sparrow, the man who was Aspall’s cider maker for 50 years and who liked to use a higher proportion of bittersweet apples in his ciders, it has been designed to sit alongside the 5.5% abv Aspall Draught Suffolk Cyder due to its lower abv. It has been trialled across the Adnams pub estate and is being made available to the rest of the trade in draught and bottles.
USP:
With the exception of Aspall Lady Jennifer’s the majority of Aspall’s cyders have an abv of 5% or more, so with its lower alcohol content Harry Sparrow will appeal to those looking to watch what they are drinking or who want to drink Aspall's products over a longer period.

Why you should buy it:
Aspall is investing £1m into launching the new drink over the next two years and has created premium PoS material such as font badges, drip mats and branded glasses as well as offering brand training to pubs and bars.
Aspall partner, Henry Chevallier Guild, said research had shown there had been an increase in the number of outlets stocking more than one draught cider in the last year because of demand from drinkers.
“In addition to this, anecdotal evidence suggests that Aspall Draught Suffolk Cyder is either ‘one drink in the bar after work before heading home,’ or ‘the first pint of the night’ before moving onto something more sessionable. Harry Sparrow provides consumers with a quality, premium cider to move on to, therefore opening up more occasions for drinking cider,” he added.
