King Rice Bran Oil, the leading brand of rice bran oil in many countries across Asia, hopes to continue the product’s success in the UK with the launch of Rice Bran Oil for chefs and caterers.

Product details:

Rice Bran Oil is one of the most popular cooking oils in the Far East because of its subtle flavour which makes it ideal for frying fish, meat and vegetables.

The oil remains very stable when heated, with a high burning point and an extremely high oxidative stability index, lasting for almost 16 hours when cooking, as opposed to sunflower oil’s six hours.

USP:

Rice Bran Oil prides itself on its health benefits; it contains zero cholesterol and is made up of an ‘ideal’ ratio of polyunsaturated, monounsaturated and saturated fats and contains no trans-fat. It also has With no additives, preservatives or GM ingredients.

In Asia the oil is probably best known for its content of ‘oryzanol’, which is a powerful anti-oxidant that is found naturally in rice bran oil and has been linked to several benefits, from lowering cholesterol levels to helping reduce certain menopausal symptoms. The oil also contains Vitamin E, which has strong links to skin health.

Price:

King Rice Bran Oil is priced at £2.99 per unit on the Planet Organic website, with free delivery on orders over £30.

Availability:

The product is available from three suppliers in the UK; Planet Organic, Natural Health World and Tree of Life UK. All of these companies have websites, with the product available on each.
