The 45,000 sq.ft. extension to the Scottish out-of-town shopping centre near the Easterhouse area of the city is due to open next summer.

It is expected to create 250 jobs in the construction plus a further 200 positions in the restaurants and cinema which will form part of the development.
Phil Goodman, centre manager at the shopping park, revealed the five restaurants set to take residence in 2013 were Pizza Express, T.G.I. Friday's, Prezzo, Harvester and Chiquito.
"This development comes at an exciting time for the east end of Glasgow. With the Commonwealth Games coming, we will be proud to have such a fantastic showcase for visitors to come and enjoy what the area has to offer."
“We understand the role we can play in helping support the local economy and community and will work with our partners to identify jobs for people from the the east end of Glasgow," he said.
Karen Forrester, the Scottish-born UK managing director of T.G.I. Friday's, revealed Glasgow was on its list of imminent openings in an exclusive video interview with BigHospitality last month.
Shopping centres
Glasgow Fort Shopping Park opened in 2004 and already features a number of hospitality operators including Frankie & Benny's, Nando's and several coffee shops and fast food operators.
In a commitment with the Glasgow Regeneration Agency (GRA) two-thirds of the employees at the park come from the local area.
Earlier this year, BigHospitality highlighted the growing trend of shopping centres becoming venues of choice for expanding and developing restaurant concepts as well as more established operators.
