The Notting Hill restaurant, led by chef Brett Graham, has two Michelin stars and won the Highest Climber award at the World's 50 Best Restaurants Awards this year after coming in at number 14. The restaurant also took the number one spot at the National Restaurant Awards for the second year running last October and serves the best food in London according to restaurant guide Harden's.
All In London, which launched the All In One: Ultimate Restaurant List for the first time last year, used a formula devised by its web development team to rank restaurants by their success in terms of the number of awards won and ratings given over the last 12 months with the aim of 'unifying and normalising the myriad of dining awards and ratings into one easy to digest, definitive index.'
On learning the news, Graham said he was delighted that his restaurant was topping the list. "It has been a great year for the Ledbury team so far and we will continue to work hard and focus on having happy customers in the restaurant and living up to their high expectations," he said.
“We continue to focus on the customer, ensuring they have the best possible time here. We have a strong team who are all passionate about what they do. The menu is constantly being developed, focusing on seasonal produce and British ingredients.”
Last year’s Ultimate Restaurant List top spot was claimed by Marcus Wareing at The Berkeley who ranks just one place lower this year at number two. Heston Blumenthal's London restaurant Dinner, run by Ashley Palmer-Watts, Jason Atherton's Pollen Street Social and Le Gavroche also feature in the top 10.
A hardcopy of 2012’s All In One: Ultimate Restaurant List will be handed out around London from today, or you can view the full top 100 list here.
