Product details:
Following the success of the original mixers from the Northumberland-based company, Fentimans has launched a new range of mixers in a 125ml serving. The range will include the original tonic water and ginger beer, with the addition of a light tonic water and a ginger ale.
The botanically-brewed light tonic water uses 100 per cent natural ingredients including Sicilian lemons. Fentimans advises bartenders to use the products as a mixer with botanic gins and vodkas. The products do not contain artificial sweeteners but the light tonic features a blend of Kaffir lime leaves, cardamom and juniper, with lemongrass extract to enhance the flavour profile. It contains 30 per cent fewer calories than the regular tonic.
The ginger ale has been added to the mixer range to take advantage of the popularity of ginger beer generally and within the Fentimans range. It is designed to be mixed with whisky and has a smooth ginger flavour created by herbal infusions of galangal and cinnamon with a pale colour from the addition of pear juice.

Why should you buy it?
Fentimans MD and master brewer, Eldon Robson, said: "We have been really quite overwhelmed by the response to our tonic water, which people have embraced with an enthusiasm for tonic unseen before! Our European export market has quadrupled as a result, as people are realising that in order to complement a premium spirit, you need a premium tonic. However, some people prefer fewer calories in their tonic."
"What makes Fentimans Tonic Water (both the original and the light versions) unique is that it is botanically brewed, using only natural ingredients."
"Ginger ales now tend to be a little insipid, whereas I recall all those years ago, that ginger ale used to have a more pronounced ginger taste. Fentimans Ginger Ale is a cooler drink than our original fiery Ginger Beer and is the perfect accompaniment to whisky."
