The Linen Group launches new polyvant linen with Union Jack table range
The polyvant linen is 265gsm – much denser than the industry standard of 200-220gsm. The high density means the range requires less starch to hold its shape and provides a more luxurious feel.
“It’s a real coup to have secured the exclusive European distribution rights of Polyvant linen and we’re proud that the manufacturing company has its put faith in our business,” said Tarik Saleem, managing director at The Linen Group.
“The Polyvant range enables us to offer clients the utmost in quality linen and we’re excited about the implications this has for taking our business forward.”
The fabric has been created with specially designed fibres, means that the linen cleans better, lasts longer, retains colour and resists damage. The anti-pilling finish also helps to ensure the quality of the product is retained over time – providing better value for money.
Available in 24 colours, the Polyvant linen can be supplied in various styles, ranging from napkins through to large banqueting cloths. It sits alongside The Linen Group’s existing crushed velvet and lycra ranges.
Diamond Jubilee table linen
Meanwhile, The Linen Group is celebrating the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee with a patriotic table range based on the Union Jack design.
Similar to the newly launched Best of Britain table linen collection from Richard Haworth,The Linen Group’s range consists of a white tablecloth with four red runners and eight blue napkins. Matching table skirts, chair covers, bows and sashes are available. The Diamond Jubilee range has been created using the new polyvant Linen.
Saleem added: “The Union Jack-themed table set allows hotels, restaurants and event organisers to really push the boat out and celebrate the Queen’s Jubilee in style.
“Our ability to quickly respond to this trend is testament to the company’s ongoing commitment to deliver the highest standard of service, as well as products that meet the individual needs of our customers.”
