‘Idyllic’ Dalmunzie Castle Hotel up for sale
The Castle Hotel, which is set in its own grounds in Blairgowrie, is being sold by Brianna Poole following the recent death of her husband Scott, with whom she operated the business for eight years.
“This is a first-class business set in an idyllic landscape which has seen sales increase year on year,” explained Ken Sims, director of the Edinburgh office of Christie & Co – which is marketing the property.
“With a two-Rosette restaurant and quality accommodation, guests are royally provided for in a stunning setting. The recent sale of Dalhousie Castle Hotel & Spa by Christie & Co shows that even in a tough market there are quality buyers looking for quality businesses such as Dalmunzie.”
The hotel has recently been completely refurbished and includes a feature fireplace, flagstone floors and a mix of traditional fabrics and rich wood panelling, giving a traditional Highland welcome.
The 17 bedrooms are individually-styled, including the three Tower rooms which were the former Laird’s bedrooms. Originally built in 1884, the baronial-style property also features candle snuffer turrets and is adjacent to a nine-hole golf course.
Included as part of the property is ‘Carriages’ — formerly the owners house and recently converted into excellent self-catering accommodation sleeping 13.
