The World’s 50 Best Restaurants 2012: 1-50

The World's 50 Best Restaurants awards 2012 have been announced and, while Rene Redzepi’s Noma scooped top spot, the movers and shakers further down the list have made for some interesting findings.

The US dominated the awards, with eight restaurants featuring on the list. New York and Paris both have five restaurants represented, while London only has two – equal with the likes of Stockholm and Tokyo.

For the UK, Heston Blumenthal’s Dinner was this year’s Highest New Entry, while The Fat Duck fell from fifth to 13th. Brett Graham’s The Ledbury was the Highest Climber at number 14. Claude Bosi’s Hibiscus and Fergus Henderson’s St John missed out, having both featured on last year’s list.
