Monarch-Cypress uses Titanic linens supplier to make 100th anniversary commemorative range for hotels
Monarch-Cypress’s Titanic Collection includes sheeting, pillow cases and duvet covers made from extra long staple combed cotton from India.
Available in Queen and King sizes, the white bedding offers a selection of 200-thread count cotton percale, 300-thread count cotton sateen, and 300 thread count sateen with a 5mm stripe. Smaller sizes and custom orders are also available including jacquard and full embroidery services.
Irish manufacturer Lissadell Liddell made the original linens used in the staterooms on the Titanic, including the table linens for the ship’s Captain’s Table.
Barry Simms, director of international sales for Lissadell Liddell, said: “We were honoured to be selected by White Star 100 years ago as the exclusive linen supplier for the Titanic, and for over a century since, we have made it our mission to maintain that same level of luxury and quality in all of our linen products.
“We have created this new bedding collection especially for Monarch-Cypress, in order to pay tribute to the victims and survivors of the Titanic, and to provide the hotel market with the highest level of quality available today.”
Gene Faul, chief executive for the hotel division of Monarch-Cypress, added: “The RMS Titanic was the epitome of luxury in its era and our new collection of bed linens is a continuation of that tradition of excellence. We are proud to have partnered with a company such as Lissaell Liddell on this venture, and are committed to providing our hotel clients with not only the finest products, but also superior service to back it up.”
