Italian ice cream equipment manufacturer Carpigiani has launched the Freeze & Go machine, allowing chefs to create fresh ice cream and sorbet in just five minutes.

The compact, counter-top machine features a cylinder design, incorporating Carpigiani’s ‘advanced technology’ in only 50cm, making it an ideal addition to busy outlets where space is limited.

With a 5kg production cycle, the Freeze & Go machine allows ice cream and sorbets to be made in three steps: the user pours the chilled mix into the machine’s cylinder, starts the machine to begin the freezing process and the machine will beep, indicating that the ice cream is then ready to serve.

Magica

Carpigiani has also recently launched a new range of soft serve ice cream machines, including the new, token-operated Carpigiani 191 Magica.

Ideal for self-service – so ideal for busy outlets where food isn’t necessarily available throughout the day – the Magica machine can produce different ice cream flavours, incorporating a number of key design features, including:

  • A plastic tank lid to prevent any loss of temperature and to improve the preservation of the ice cream mix
  • A gear pump to pressurise the mix with air
  • A mixer within the tank to churn the ice cream mix continuously
  • A unique, self-scraping beater to ensures the perfect scraping of the production cylinder
  • A full cycle pasteurisation system that sanitises the mix
