Opening in June in Nelson Street, the 148-bed Hotel Indigo Newcastle - under the InterContinental Hotel Group - will take Sanguine’s portfolio to 12 properties since the company’s launch in 2006. The hotel will target the lucrative wedding, city break and bridal shower markets.
“From our inception, we were committed to being a proper part of Newcastle’s thriving business community, entering into strategic partnerships where there is a clear, shared interest,” said Adam Munday, general manager of Hotel Indigo.
“The leisure and wedding market will be crucial for us and we know that by offering packages with luxury pampering, great food and a great night’s stay, coupled with Newcastle’s renowned nightlife, it will help us to attract lots of guests.”
Marco Pierre White and Sanguine hospitality
Savannah Lifestyle Spa and Salon is an urban retreat in the heart of Newcastle, offering a variety of treatments with a team of professional stylists, technicians and therapists. The new partnership will see the hotel offer joint packages and spa offers to guests.
Pierre White also currently owns and runs Steakhouse restaurants at Birmingham’s Cube development and at Liverpool’s Hotel Indigo, along with The Swann Inn in Lancashire – all of which are in partnership with Sanguine.
Craig Thompson, company manager at Savannah, said: “There’s a lot of buzz in the city about Hotel Indigo and the Marco Pierre White restaurant and we’re pleased to be working with the business.
“This partnership will help us to increase business from those outside of the city and we’re looking forward to welcoming guests from Hotel Indigo for a truly relaxing day.”
Hotel Indigo, which is now taking advance bookings for the Newcastle development, is also a preferred supplier for the nearby Assembly Rooms, after entering into a similar partnership in December.
