Easter Special: Great Easter Egg Hunt at Shaka Zulu and Spring Lamb at Bread Street Kitchen

Great Easter Egg Hunt​

South African restaurant Shaka Zulu in London’s Camden is launching the Great Easter Egg Hunt on Easter Sunday. Families are invited to try and find some of the hundreds of eggs hidden throughout the 27,000 sq.ft venue. Shaka Zulu will also be offering a traditional South African buffet priced at £15.95 for adults and £8.50 for children. To accompany the meal, the restaurant will also be offering face painting, jugglers and plate spinners, along with Shaka Zulu's exclusive Ostrich Easter Eggs, filled with either a sweet or savoury treat. On departure children will receive an Easter goody bag.

Spring Lamb​

Gordon Ramsay’s Bread Street Kitchen will be celebrating the Easter weekend as each table will be gifted with delicious artisan milk chocolate truffles and chocolate Easter eggs for the kids. Easter Sunday will also see Bread Street Kitchen’s brand new Lazy Loaf brunch in full swing, with a menu that includes Ricotta hot cakes, banana, honeycomb butter,  accompanied by the Bloody Mary Buffet and live music. Bread Street Kitchen will also launch a special, limited-edition dish for Easter - Wood roasted Spring Lamb, creamed polenta, olives, rosemary sauce.

Chocolate hotel room​

The Cavendish London has revealed the UK’s first edible chocolate hotel room. Professional Chef students from Westminster Kingsway College have carefully crafted the 12th-floor room in the Jermyn Street hotel from almost 100kg of Callebaut chocolate. Neil Braude, hotel manager at The Cavendish London, said: “What could be more fun than waking up feeling a bit peckish and being able to munch your way through the do not disturb sign? Smallest Ever Egg Hunt​

Speakeasy bar Barts in London’s Sloane Avenue will be running The World’s Smallest Ever Egg Hunt on Easter Sunday. A number of small eggs, containing special prices, will be hidden in the bar and its miniature garden. Barts bar staff will be attired in chicken costumes, with an Easter Bunny manning the door.  Throughout the holiday weekend, guests can enjoy spring-themed cocktails such as the Laurel and Hardy sharing cocktail and The Mad Hatter.

Giant designer egg​

This Easter, the May Fair Hotel is housing a giant designer egg. Designed by fashionista Mary Katrantzou. The egg will be on display for 40 days, to mark London’s Fabergé Big Egg Hunt, which aims to raise vital funds and awareness for charities Action for Children and Elephants. The May Fair’s three-colour, tiered egg is adorned with an army of tiny metal flowers, Swarovski crystals, bells and whistles. In addition, participants of The Fabergé Big Egg Hunt will have the chance of winning the world’s most extraordinary prize: The Fabergé Tribute Egg, a fabulous creation valued at over £100,000.

Egg-lympics​

For the duration of the Easter weekend, Leeds Castle is offering guests and their children the chance to embark on an ‘Egg-lympics’ trail through the grounds to collect letters from sports themed clues which will fit into a crossword puzzle. Spring arts and craft activities will be available in an exciting craft marquee. The children will have the chance to meet ‘bunnies’ and ‘Alpacas’, as well as take part in egg archery and face painting. A £2.50 charge applies per child which includes a trail card, Easter egg and craft activities.
