The Inka IK-800 barbecue has been introduced in time for chefs to take advantage of the sunny weather and to prepare for summer. It is capable of cooking up to 80kg of meat or fish per hour and the company, founded in Spain, has said it is designed for chefs who are serious about a grilled menu and who wanted to add an element of theatre to outside cooking.
Franco Sotgiu, managing director for INKA Charcoal Ovens UK said: “The new IK-800 outdoor Barbecue will enhance alfresco dining at any venue. Furthermore, with customers unable to resist the delicious aromas and theatre that each barbecue provides, it is guaranteed to increase sales as well."
"The spectacle of seeing the food cooked in front of their eyes on a professional range, by a professional chef, is sure to draw the crowds, whilst the aromas will have passers by being tempted through the doors," he added.
Height-adjustable
Features on the new BBQ include a stainless steel grill, supported at the rear to maintain the correct height and a built-in hook system for easy removal and cleaning.
The barbecue also comes with an ash box, which prevents the need to clean up ash after use, and a fat collection system to speed up cleaning. A height-adjustable coal bed helps vary the intensity of the heat.
As with the Inka Charcoal Oven, the company recommend using coconut charcoal as it burns at a higher temperature than wood charcoal, and produces a flameless burn as well as being more ecologically sound and virtually smoke-free.
