Supported by the Association of Licensed Multiple Retailers (ALMR) and the British Beer and Pub Association (BBPA), the Summit will take place on June 26 at the Sketchley Grange Hotel in the Midlands
“Apprenticeship schemes provide a brilliant opportunity for both employers and employees, providing licensed hospitality businesses with motivated young people who will receive on-the-job, work-based training,” said Cathie Smith, director of the BIIAB.
“Apprenticeships are perfect for creating the foundations that will build long-term, structured, professional careers in our industry.”
Employers and apprentices
With a top line-up of key speakers, industry commentators and government representatives, the forum, the Summit will also be used by the BII to explain how employers and apprentices can obtain government funding, either in full or part.
It will also providing more information on the recently announced ‘Golden Hello’ - a £1,500 payment to employers committing to apprenticeship schemes, beginning with the Level 2 framework.
The announcement of the Summit follows the recent news that the BII has teamed up with Kensington and Chelsea College to offer employers access to the new Apprenticeship in Licenced hospitality.
