The development in Glasgow's East End district is designed to regenerate the East Dalmarnock area. The Arena Retail & Leisure Park development will also feature a restaurant and retail development.
The Tulip Inn hotel will be the first site for this brand from the French operator that also runs the Campanile hotels in locations across the UK including Cardiff and Birmingham.

The hotel will feature 160 bedrooms, conference and banqueting facilities and an underground car park for 147 cars.
"Tulip Inn hotels, in the 3-star category, offer excellent quality, comfortable rooms and friendly personnel at an affordable price. We are very happy to re-introduce the brand to the UK market through this exciting project and are confident about the long-term growth potential for our brands in the UK," Geels added.

Commonwealth games
The hotel is at the heart of the development which lies in the shadow of the Celtic FC football ground and is close to the 2014 Commonwealth Games Athletes’ Village development. The site will itself have access to the public piazza serving the new indoor Scottish Commonwealth Arena and the Sir Chris Hoy Velodrome.
The development, designed by Scottish architects, Reiach and Hall, also comprises several retail and restaurant units to serve both locals and visitors, a dental and healthcare facility and a ground level shoppers’ car park.
Kevin Fawcett, the Glasgow based developer, said the development and hotel was for the local community but would also receive a boost from the Commonwealth games athletes and visitors.
"The number of visitors will be boosted by the 2014 Commonwealth Games Village development. I am very pleased that in the current economic climate The Arena Retail & Leisure Park development will provide over 400 new permanent local job opportunities at all levels," he said.
