Lincat adds electric solid tops to Opus 700 range

Commercial catering equipment supplier Lincat has added an electric solid top range to its Opus 700 range of heavy duty equipment.

The OE7015 features a twin zone, full-width heavy-duty cast iron hot plate with controllable heat gradient throughout. Central areas are suitable for rapid boiling while the outer zones are suited to simmering and holding.

As well as the solid top, the range has twin fan-assisted ovens fitted with precise thermostatic control from 130oC to 265oC and double insulated doors and side and back panels. They are also fitted with removable vitreous enamelled oven liners, floor plate and shelf supports to enable easy cleaning.

The range is designed to offer the flexibility of the gas equivalent, but meets the need of chefs looking for the speed, control and reliability that comes from an all-electric kitchen.

Nick McDonald, marketing director of Lincat said: “Electric ranges have grown in popularity in recent years due, we think, to the legal requirement for gas models to be positioned under powered extraction canopies fitted with an interlock, which can add considerably to the cost of installation.

“It’s good therefore to be able to extend our range, with the addition of a heavy duty solid top electric model, which provides unrivalled speed, control and reliability.”
