Trendy Cocktails

The Fifth Floor Bar at Harvey Nichols has created a cocktail menu based on flavour trends that are likely to take off in 2012. To coincide with the Schwartz’s recent Flavour Forecast and in line with London Fashion Week, Dominic Jacobs, the Bar’s manager has created the ‘Trendy’ Cocktails, which are available for the month of February. Jacobs said: In the past, drinks were often overlooked when it came to following trends, but at the Fifth Floor Bar we’re always on the lookout for new flavours and innovative ideas. The Flavour Forecast is the perfect springboard for us to create stylish and distinctive cocktails that, like fashion, change seasonally.” The cocktails include the Cucumber Dill Martin and the Cinnamon Plum Sling.

The Mulroy fine dining restaurant in Edinburgh, which opened in September, is to launch a new Private Members’ Club. Membership of The Mulroy Club will offer customers a range of benefits including invitations to exclusive dinner parties, discounts on selected wines and free hire of The Mulroy's private dining room. Clemens Hoss d'Estenfeld, owner of The Mulroy, said: "The Mulroy will be the only Edinburgh restaurant offering membership of an exclusive club and we have created a range of benefits, which we believe will attract a high level of interest." Annual membership will cost £120 plus VAT. This month, The Mulroy is also introducing a cocktail list and light snacks suitable for pre-theatre or post theatre.
