Unlike dry and steam-cleaning, CDS HÖVER allows curtains to receive a deep clean while leaving them where they hang. The system will be exhibited at Hotelympia next month.
“We are thrilled to be bringing CDS HÖVER’s proven on-track curtain cleaning system to the British Isles,” said Charlotte Mitchell, CDS HÖVER’s sales and marketing manager.
“Particularly with the London 2012 Olympics now only eight months away, hotels will be keen to minimise room turnaround times in order to maximise occupancy rates and ultimately profits, especially following the strain the industry has faced in recent years as a result of the financial crisis.”

The cleaning service is currently being used by the likes of the London Marriott West India Quay Hotel and the neighbouring Executive Apartments.
London Marriott’s director of services, Svenja De Nijn, said: “We had an outside company come in to take curtains down, dry clean them and re-hang. Rooms had to be available to take out of service for up to three days.
“Now when we have the curtains cleaned in the morning, we can have the room ready for guests that night. While it is still fairly early, CDS HÖVER’s system has worked fine for us and I’m happy to continue using it.”
German-engineered design means that CDS HÖVER removes dirt, dust mites, germs, stains and odours, while leaving curtains on the rail. The system is gentle on fabrics and does not compromise blackout and thermal options or damage fire proofing. It can also be used on vertical and horizontal blinds.
CDS HÖVER will be on exhibition stand S2345 at Hotelympia from 26 February to 1 March. For more information on the product, visit www.hover.uk.com.
