Four UK Ramada hotels put up for sale

The freeholds of four Ramada hotels in the UK have been put on the market today with interest in the properties expected to be high.

The management of the properties - the Ramada Birmingham Solihull, Ramada Farnham, Ramada Guildford/Leatherhead and Ramada Hemel Hempstead - was taken over by BDL Management last May along with five Ramada hotels.

The properties range in style and size, from 87-bedrooms to 145-bedrooms and are being sold through Christie & Co.

Property descriptions

Ramada Birmingham Solihull is a 145-bedroom hotel with four phases of development, including a 16th Century Grade II-listed section fronting Solihull's high street. Situated in the centre of Solihull, it has access to the NEC and Birminham Airport and features 15 meeting and conference rooms.

The 96-bedroom Ramada Farnham is located on the A31 between Guildford and Farnham and includes meeting and function rooms and a Sebastian Coe Health Club.

Ramada Guildford/Leatherhead is located midway between the two towns and has easy access to the M25. It has 87 bedrooms and a suite of function and meeting rooms.

Ramada Hemel Hempstead is set in six acres of gardens and woodlands and has six conference and meeting rooms in addition to its 137 bedrooms It has easy access to the M1 and Luton Airport and currently offers a 'park, stay and fly' package for guests using the airport.

Jeremy Jones, director of corporate hotels at Christie & Co, said: “The four prominently-located hotels benefit from an excellent mix of overnight and weekend guests, and daily commercial, leisure and corporate business. The hotels are being offered freehold and we are anticipating a great deal of interest in them either as a group, in part or on a stand-alone basis.”

Currently 48 hotels in the UK are operated under the Ramada brand, part of Wyndham Worldwide.
